Licensed Mental Health Therapist – Palmetto Counseling & Consulting Services, LLC
What We Are Seeking:
Master’s Degree or higher in Human Services Related Field with two years post-degree experience and full, independent licensure in SC [e.g., LISW-CP, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Clinical Psychologist] to fill a full-time contractual position requiring 35 – 40 hours per week and the ability to work evenings. Note: Position will transition to W-2 salary position with healthcare, retirement, and full-time benefits by end of 2021 or early 2022.
Provisionally Licensed Therapists [PLCSW, LMSW, LPCA, LCMHCA] are encouraged to apply [prefer candidates having 6 months or less to complete before being eligible for full, independent licensure in SC].
Ideal candidates will possess a current SC license in good standing and have no restrictions or limitations required for independent professional practice. Must have the ability to become credentialed to receive Third-Party / Private Insurance / Medicaid or Medicare reimbursement. Prefer clinicians already credentialed with major health insurers such as SC Blue Cross / Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum, Aetna, Magellan, Medicare, and SC Medicaid.
Candidates should have extensive knowledge and passion for service delivery to individuals, couples, families and/or groups with mental health/substance abuse/developmental disability diagnosis. Computer proficiency skills and experience working with Electronic Medical Records [EMR] is also required.
Must possess the ability and desire to work in a supportive and collaborative group practice environment, have excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate strong diagnostic and clinical acumen, have knowledge of clinical best practices and treatment planning, and possess superior organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Summary of Duties:
As part of your role on Palmetto’s team, you will be responsible for the completion of comprehensive diagnostic assessments, the rendering of DSM V diagnosis, the development of treatment plans, and the ongoing provision of therapeutic services.
Provide accurate documentation of client care, encounters, and progress via electronic medical record (EMR) in accordance with all State, Federal, HIPAA rules / regulations and clinical best practices.
Work in collaboration / consultation with other therapists and members of the clinical team to determine appropriate course of treatment, which includes individual, couples/marital, family, and group therapeutic interventions, referral for medication management / psychiatry and other clinical services.

Full-Time LIP can earn up to 70/30 split with a range of $60 – $90k / year. Full-Time Provisional Licensed Practitioner can earn up to 60/40 split with a range of $30 – $55k / year. In addition to clinician splits, Palmetto offers monthly productivity incentives (up to $500 / month).
Full-Time Administrative Support / Front Desk / Reception / Onsite Billing Service
- Credentialing Application Submission
- Administrative staff to help receive and process all incoming referrals.
- Schedule new client appointments
- Collection of co-pays
- Respond to service inquiries, take messages, and perform other administrative functions to support clinical staff.
- Administrative staff available to help with insurance questions explain benefits, deductibles, co-pay, co-insurance, and assist clients with scheduling needs.
Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system which includes:
- Patient / Client Scheduling
- Electronic billing and claims submission designed for quick turnaround/reimbursement
- Electronic Charting
- HIPAA compliant provider and patient communication portals
- Auto-Appointment reminders
- Highly sophisticated, logic based EMR system designed to help practice and providers strive for Zero Write-offs.
Important Note: All Providers receive a monthly, detailed encounter report of all sessions billed and reimbursed by insurance. This certifies accuracy of provider’s monthly earnings and verifies/ensures that Palmetto will never engage in unethical / illegal / or fraudulent billing practices.
Palmetto maintains an excellent reputation in the community with medical providers, insurance companies and corporations (EAP), this affords a steady flow of referrals that helps clinicians build their caseloads quickly. Also, being physically located near Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill and medical practices in Fort Mill contributes to Palmetto enjoying excellent collaborative relationships and a well-established referral base.
