Licensed Mental Health Therapist – Palmetto Counseling & Consulting Services, LLC

What We Are Seeking:

Master’s Degree or higher in Human Services Related Field with two years post-degree experience and full, independent licensure in SC [e.g., LISW-CP, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Clinical Psychologist] to fill a full-time contractual position requiring 35 – 40 hours per week and the ability to work evenings. Note: Position will transition to W-2 salary position with healthcare, retirement, and full-time benefits by end of 2021 or early 2022. 

Provisionally Licensed Therapists [PLCSW, LMSW, LPCA, LCMHCA] are encouraged to apply [prefer candidates having 6 months or less to complete before being eligible for full, independent licensure in SC].

Ideal candidates will possess a current SC license in good standing and have no restrictions or limitations required for independent professional practice. Must have the ability to become credentialed to receive Third-Party / Private Insurance / Medicaid or Medicare reimbursement. Prefer clinicians already credentialed with major health insurers such as SC Blue Cross / Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum, Aetna, Magellan, Medicare, and SC Medicaid.

Candidates should have extensive knowledge and passion for service delivery to individuals, couples, families and/or groups with mental health/substance abuse/developmental disability diagnosis. Computer proficiency skills and experience working with Electronic Medical Records [EMR] is also required.

Must possess the ability and desire to work in a supportive and collaborative group practice environment, have excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate strong diagnostic and clinical acumen, have knowledge of clinical best practices and treatment planning, and possess superior organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Summary of Duties:
As part of your role on Palmetto’s team, you will be responsible for the completion of comprehensive diagnostic assessments, the rendering of DSM V diagnosis, the development of treatment plans, and the ongoing provision of therapeutic services.

Provide accurate documentation of client care, encounters, and progress via electronic medical record (EMR) in accordance with all State, Federal, HIPAA rules / regulations and clinical best practices.

Work in collaboration / consultation with other therapists and members of the clinical team to determine appropriate course of treatment, which includes individual, couples/marital, family, and group therapeutic interventions, referral for medication management / psychiatry and other clinical services.

Performance-Based Reimbursement

Full-Time LIP can earn up to 70/30 split with a range of $60 – $90k / year. Full-Time Provisional Licensed Practitioner can earn up to 60/40 split with a range of $30 – $55k / year.  In addition to clinician splits, Palmetto offers monthly productivity incentives (up to $500 / month).

  • Administrative staff to help receive and process all incoming referrals.

  • Collection of co-pays
  • Respond to service inquiries, take messages, and perform other administrative functions to support clinical staff.
  • Administrative staff available to help with insurance questions explain benefits, deductibles, co-pay, co-insurance, and assist clients with scheduling needs.

Important Note: All Providers receive a monthly, detailed encounter report of all sessions billed and reimbursed by insurance. This certifies accuracy of provider’s monthly earnings and verifies/ensures that Palmetto will never engage in unethical / illegal / or fraudulent billing practices.

Summary of Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and evaluation of patient progress

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a current, unrestricted South Carolina license as a Psychiatrist, MD, or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant and ability to become credentialed to receive Private Insurance / Third-Party reimbursement.
  • Possess comprehensive liability insurance
  • Prefer provider who is presently credentialed with major health insurers such as Blue Cross / Blue Shield, Cigna, United Behavioral Health, Aetna, Magellan, Medicare.

Palmetto Counseling & Consulting Services, LLC, an outpatient behavioral healthcare provider with locations in Rock Hill and Fort Mill, SC, is looking for a Part-Time Office Assistant with exceptional customer service, superior multi-tasking, and excellent organizational abilities.

Position is Part-Time [approximately 25 – 30 hours / week, Mon – Fri, with potential to transition to Full-Time].

Duties Include [but not limited to]:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to Palmetto Counseling’s clients
  • Perform customer service functions in terms of scheduling appointments, answering telephone, and responding to service inquiries in a timely manner
  • Assist clients with check-in / check-out process
  • Collection and maintenance of fees, co-pays and insurance
  • Provide assistance to clinicians in terms of scheduling needs
  • Accepting / making referrals
  • Document and organize client information in client electronic medical record and respond to medical record requests
  • Assist with authorization / pre-certification and referral processes
  • Setting appointment reminders
  • Perform data entry and documentation for services rendered
  • Serve as first point of contact and liaison to physician offices, referral sources, insurance, and other managed care entities
  • Maintain orderly office environment to ensure delivery of exceptional client care
  • Must comply with all Federal, State, and Local standards, regulations, and maintain strict adherence to HIPAA Privacy Laws and all aspects of client confidentiality and privacy.

 

Requirements:

Candidate must possess advanced office and customer service skills, professionalism, strong work ethic, dependable, excellent reading and writing skills with attention to detail, and ability to perform as a team member in a medical office environment. Superior organizational, time management, punctuality, and multi-tasking skills are also required.

Individual shall possess advanced computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Web-based software applications and Electronic Medical Record software systems. Prefer individual with medical office experience with professional knowledge and application of HIPAA Privacy Laws.

Candidate must adhere to strict compliance with all State, Federal, and HIPAA Standards Policies and Procedures. Verification of applicant’s previous work history, school history, provide at least (x3) professional references from previous employers, and submit to State and National Criminal Background checks are required.
